A favicon is much more a symbol of
your website or Blog. It is a small icon shown in the browser bar. You may ask
is it helpful for a website? Well, it will not helpful for increasing traffic
to your website, but it can hold a unique identity of your website among the crowd. It gives a better look to your site.

How to Design Your Own Favicon Icon?
Favicon is an icon with a
dimension of 16 by 16 pixel and has an extension like .ico. It is difficult to put all your graphical ideas within such a
small frame. So, you have to think about only a letter or simple image for your
favicon. It is better to design your favicon that reflects your website color.
I recommend you to use Adobe Photoshop to design your favicon.
How to add your favicon icon to your site?
There are two processes to add
your favicon icon to your website.
Process 1:
First upload
your favicon image. Then Log in to your Blog account. Then go to –
Dashboard >
Your Blog > Layout
Now click on edit button on favicon.

A pop up window
will open like this.

Then click on Browse button to search your favicon
file that has .ico extension.
Then click the Save button and
you will done.
Process 2:
Blogger >
Dashboard > Your Blog > Template > Edit Html
Now check on
Expand Widget Template.

Then find the
below code by pressing Ctrlr+F key.

Then copy the
below code and paste it between the above codes.

rel=’shortcut icon’ href=’your favicon link or url’ type=’image/x-icon/gif’ />
Replace
“your favicon link or url” with your favicon url link.
Finally press
the SAVE button and you will done.
Now refresh your website and you will see your favicon icon shown in the browser Tab bar.
